The Club welcomes anyone with a physical disability living in Winterton or surrounding area. Club meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at the Methodist Church Hall, King Street. 2pm to 4pm. In September we will visit the Butchers Arms for a meal prior to a games afternoon/committee meeting and we will also welcome Helen from HPY Bags.
Our weekly New Age Kurling sessions are held on Wednesdays at Winterton Community Pavilion. 2pm to 4pm. Sessions are open to non Club members.
The future of our transport is still incredibly precarious. For the last 6 years Age UK has been the only reliable source of accessible minibuses for us and the closure of the Lifestyle Centre in Scunthorpe is a complete nightmare. Some of our members have no other means of transport and rely entirely on us to get basic food provisions. Our members are getting increasingly anxious. Still no news either from Winterton Town Council after our request in April to revisit provision of local transport suitable for our members. Does anybody actually care about the well being of elderly disabled in this country?
Our Make a Difference Day will be held on Saturday 26th October. 2pm to 4pm at Winterton Trinity Methodist Church Hall.
As usual we are inviting other voluntary groups to the event. Stalls: £4 per table. Displays free of charge.Craft stalls: £5.
Ring 733441 for further details of all our activities.
